Our 2025 Annual Report: Gonet Academy Achieves Record-Breaking Growth, Full National Accreditation, and 100% Positive Career Impact
We are proud to announce the release of the Gonet Academy Annual Report 2025, which details a defining year of unprecedented growth, major institutional consolidation, and significant, quantifiable contributions to Liberia’s human capital development agenda. The data confirms the Academy’s solidified role as the nation’s leading center for professional development.
The year 2025 was marked by explosive programmatic growth and strategic milestones. We trained a record 2,762 learners across three cohorts, achieving a robust 78.1% enrollment growth compared to 2024 and maintaining an exceptional 90% overall completion rate. This surge brought the cumulative number of professionals we have trained since 2021 to over 5,000.
A Year of Transformational Milestones
The report highlights crucial institutional successes that reinforce our commitment to quality and credibility:
- National Accreditation: We secured full National TVET Accreditation from the Ministry of Education in November 2025, confirming our compliance with national quality standards.
- Digital Leap: We successfully deployed five new digital systems during the year, including our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) with 44 courses uploaded, and the Alumni Portal. This investment, alongside the installation of Starlink high-speed internet, positions us for full digital maturity.
- Government Validation: In a powerful endorsement, Minister of Education Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah described Gonet Academy as a “catalyst for human capital transformation” at the Cohort 13 graduation ceremony.
Quantifiable Career Outcomes and Gender Equity
The impact of our experiential training model translated directly into quantifiable career outcomes for our graduates:
- Unanimous Impact: 100% of alumni surveyed reported a positive impact on their careers following the training, a powerful validation of the program’s relevance.
- Employment Shift: The rate of full-time employment among alumni rose from 43.2% to 51.4% post-training, representing a significant 8.2 percentage point increase in securing full-time roles.
- Gender Inclusion: We maintained a progressive 56% female enrollment across all cohorts, ensuring the majority of trained professionals were women and contributing to a more balanced leadership pipeline.
As we look ahead, our strategic focus for 2026 is on achieving full digital maturity, launching the dedicated Skills & Workforce Research Unit, and enhancing our alignment with labor market demands.
“Our journey is driven by our philosophy: ‘Equipping for Excellence, Empowering for Impact,’” said Mohammed Kerkulah, Founder & CEO of GonetAfrica and Gonet Academy. “We are not just training students; we are cultivating leaders with the mindset, skills, and heart to shape the continent’s future.”
