Gonet Academy Conducts Orientation Sessions for Cohort 15 Students

Gonet Academy has successfully conducted its first orientation sessions for 2026, officially welcoming new participants into its highly anticipated Cohort 15. The orientation, held on Saturday, June 13, marked the beginning of an exciting journey for individuals seeking to advance their education, strengthen their leadership capacity, and enhance their professional development through Gonet’s transformative programs. Classes for the new cohort starts early next month.

The sessions brought together a diverse group of aspiring leaders, professionals, students, and change-makers eager to become part of an institution renowned for its commitment to excellence, empowerment, and human capital development.

Designed to introduce new participants to Gonet’s vision, values, culture, and educational offerings, the orientation provided an engaging platform for learning, networking, and inspiration while reinforcing the Academy’s mission of equipping individuals with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to thrive in an increasingly dynamic and competitive world.

The first orientation session welcomed 15 participants, comprising eight males and seven females, and was facilitated by Mr. Charles G. Kpan. Through interactive discussions and presentations, participants received a comprehensive overview of GONET’s educational programs, leadership philosophy, institutional values, and long-term vision for societal transformation.

Mr. Kpan emphasized during the session that Gonet’s commitment extends beyond academic instruction to developing ethical leaders and professionals capable of making meaningful contributions to their communities and workplaces.

Enrollment figures from the session reflected strong interest across the Academy’s educational programs, with one participant enrolling in the Diploma Program, three participants joining the Career Preparation Program (CPP), and ten registering for the Foundation Career Program (FCP).

The second orientation session brought together an additional 15 participants, including six males and nine females. Facilitated by Mr. Alphonso G. Nyanfor, Gonet Academy Training Coordinator, the session focused on helping participants better understand Gonet’s operational framework, leadership culture, development initiatives, and opportunities for growth.

Mr. Nyanfor encouraged participants to view their enrollment not merely as an educational decision but as an investment in their future.

“The journey you are beginning today is one of personal transformation and continuous growth,” Nyanfor told participants. “Gonet provides the tools, opportunities, and environment necessary for success, but your commitment, discipline, and determination will define the outcome of your journey.”

“The world is changing faster than ever before. Organizations are increasingly looking for individuals who can think critically, lead effectively, adapt quickly, and work collaboratively. These are some of the competencies we seek to develop through our programs,” he added.

Across both sessions, attendance totaled 30 participants, evenly distributed between 15 males and 15 females—a reflection of Gonet’s commitment to inclusivity and equal opportunity.

The strong turnout highlights the growing demand for practical education, leadership development, and career advancement opportunities among young professionals and aspiring leaders.
