The conference was hosted by Mamudu Saah Dabor, widely known as Baba 2Switt, CEO of Magic Group of Companies, who continues to inspire young people through bold and innovative platforms like this.
On Saturday, May 10, 2025, Gonet Academy’s Founder and Chief Empowerment Officer, Mohammed Kerkulah, delivered a powerful message to over 500 young Liberians at the National Youth Conference 2025 held at Paynesville City Hall. The event, themed “Unlocking the Power Within: Empowering Liberia’s Youth for Sustainable Development,” brought together youth leaders, professionals, and educators for a meaningful dialogue on Liberia’s future.

Mohammed Kerkulah was invited to speak on the topic: “Education and Skills for the 21st Century,” a subject closely aligned with Gonet Academy’s mission to equip, empower, and elevate learners with the tools to succeed in today’s evolving job market.
In his 25-minute address, he challenged young people to rethink traditional education and embrace practical, market-driven skills. “Degrees alone are no longer enough,” he emphasized. “The world is evolving—and we must evolve with it. The 21st century demands critical thinking, digital literacy, communication, adaptability, and leadership.”
Drawing from his personal journey and the GonetAfrica story, Mohammed reflected on how his work through Gonet Academy has empowered over 2,700 professionals from 300+ institutions across Liberia, with a majority being women. He shared insights into Gonet’s 3Es model—Equip, Empower, Elevate—and highlighted the importance of institutions aligning education with entrepreneurship, technology, and career readiness.
What stood out most during the session was not just the content, but the connection. Mohammed’s message deeply resonated with the audience, sparking conversations and connections among participants who felt seen, heard, and challenged.
Speaking on the experience, Mohammed remarked:
“The energy in that room was electric. It reminded me that when young people are given a platform, they don’t just listen—they respond. They rise. And that’s what gives me hope.”

The National Youth Conference 2025 served as both a reminder and a call to action: that the future of Liberia lies in the hands of prepared, purpose-driven young people—and Gonet Academy is committed to preparing them.
