Gonet Academy Sends Two Team Members Abroad for Software Engineering Studies at UNILAK, Rwanda
-Bridging Professional Growth and Academic Advancement
At Gonet Academy, we are committed not only to delivering high-quality professional development to our students but also to investing in the growth and future of our own team. In 2025 alone, we are proud to have supported two of our staff members to pursue higher education abroad — a clear testament to our values of continuous learning, empowerment, and institutional growth.
Levi Singbeh: From Liberia to Kigali — Continuing to Serve Remotely
In February 2025, our Marketing & Brand Specialist, Levi Singbeh, who has been part of Gonet Academy since August 2021, embarked on a new academic journey at the University of Lay Adventists of Kigali (UNILAK) in Rwanda, pursuing a degree in Software Engineering. His passion for learning and his commitment to our mission have characterized his time with us. Over the past four years, Levi has earned multiple certificates and diplomas in areas such as marketing, graphic design, entrepreneurship, digital skills, communication, business development, and more. His creativity and dedication have been instrumental in shaping Gonet Academy’s brand and digital presence.
Despite being abroad, Levi remains a fully active member of the Gonet Academy family. Thanks to our institutional support policies, he continues to carry out his role remotely, receiving full staff benefits and remaining engaged in our ongoing projects.
Levi’s journey is a powerful reminder that with passion and opportunity, dreams can become reality. His pursuit of Software Engineering reflects our commitment to evolving with global demands — and nurturing lifelong learners who can contribute meaningfully to Liberia and beyond.
Marcus Terry Zeo Jr.: From Volunteer to Full-Time Staff, Now Off to Study in Rwanda
We are equally excited to share that in 2025, we prepared another team member to follow in these footsteps: Marcus Terry Zeo Jr., who began his journey with us as a volunteer in 2023 and became a full-time Administrative Assistant in 2024. Recognising his dedication, hard work, and alignment with our values, Gonet Academy supported his application to study Software Engineering at UNILAK. Marcus has now departed for Kigali and is scheduled to begin his studies in January 2026.
Marcus’s journey is inspiring — from volunteer service to a full-time role, and now to pursuing a degree abroad. It speaks to our belief that talent, commitment, and potential should be nurtured, especially within our team.
We congratulate Marcus on taking this courageous step. We are confident that his time at UNILAK will offer him new knowledge, fresh perspectives, and strong skills that will be invaluable to his personal growth and to our broader mission at Gonet Academy.
What This Means for Gonet Academy
- Investing in our people: By supporting Levi and Marcus to pursue Software Engineering at UNILAK, we reaffirm our commitment to staff development and lifelong learning.
- Blending work and study: Levi’s remote work model while studying demonstrates that we trust in the dedication of our team and their ability to contribute — even across continents.
- Building future capacity: As Gonet Academy expands its mission — from youth empowerment to capacity building, research, and professional development — having team members with advanced technical skills strengthens our potential to innovate, scale, and lead.
- Inspiring our community: Levi’s and Marcus’s journeys signal to young Liberians and potential students that Gonet Academy doesn’t just talk about transformation — we live it.
Congratulations & Best Wishes
To Levi and Marcus: thank you for your dedication, discipline, and trust. We are proud of you and excited about this next chapter.
