Gonet Academy Appoints Tarlee Nuahn As Substantive Program Quality and Delivery Manager
—Appointment follows three months of acting leadership as Academy moves to strengthen program quality, delivery and monitoring
Gonet Academy has appointed Tarlee A. Nuahn as its substantive Program Quality and Delivery Manager (PQDM), formalizing his leadership of a department central to the institution’s academic and professional development operations.
Nuahn’s appointment follows a three-month period in which he served in an acting capacity in the same role, giving him an opportunity to lead the department, understand its operational demands and contribute to the Academy’s ongoing efforts to strengthen program quality and delivery.
The substantive appointment is therefore seen as a continuation of his responsibilities rather than an entirely new assignment, while providing a formal mandate for him to lead the department on a long-term basis.
In his new capacity, Nuahn will oversee the strategic and operational direction of the PQD Department, with responsibilities spanning quality assurance, program implementation, monitoring and reporting, and continuous improvement across Gonet Academy’s academic and professional programs.
According to management, the appointment reflects its continued emphasis on maintaining quality standards while ensuring that its programs effectively respond to the professional development needs of its learners.
The PQD function occupies an important position within Gonet Academy because the effectiveness of an educational institution extends beyond the delivery of training sessions.
It involves ensuring that programs are properly implemented, learning activities meet established standards, monitoring systems generate useful information, and feedback is translated into improvements.
Nuahn will consequently be expected to help strengthen systems that connect program design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and learning outcomes.
His responsibilities will also include fostering a culture of continuous improvement, an approach that can enable the Academy to identify gaps in program delivery and make evidence-informed adjustments.
The Academy said it is confident that Nuahn’s expertise, dedication and leadership will contribute significantly to its mission of delivering quality education and professional development.
CEO Welcomes Appointment
Gonet Academy Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Kerkulah publicly welcomed the appointment, offering a brief but pointed message to the newly appointed manager.
“Get the job done, Tarlee A. Nuahn!” Kerkulah posted following the announcement.
The CEO’s message underscores the performance-oriented expectations accompanying the appointment, particularly as the PQDM role directly influences the quality and effectiveness of programs delivered by the Academy.
The appointment, for Gonet Academy, comes as the institution continues to expand its professional development offerings and strengthen its internal systems.
Nuahn Credits God
Responding to the appointment, Nuahn adopted a humble and faith-centered tone, attributing the opportunity to God and emphasizing service rather than personal achievement.
“God gets the glory. It is He who has given us the ability both to will and to do according to His purpose,” Nuahn posted on his Facebook page in his response to the appointment.
He described himself as a vessel seeking to be used wherever there is a need, including in classrooms, workplaces, communities and churches.
Nuahn also expressed appreciation to those who congratulated him, while stressing that he viewed the appointment as an opportunity to serve.
“It is by His grace, through His strength, and for His purpose that we serve,” he said.
He further expressed a broader aspiration to contribute to society through professional conduct and leadership.
“May Liberia see Christ through the way we work, lead, serve, and live,” Nuahn said.
His response positions the appointment not simply as a career advancement, but as a responsibility grounded in service, leadership and personal values.
The transition from acting to substantive leadership is particularly significant because Nuahn has already had three months to operate within the department and confront some of its practical demands.
That period provides a basis for continuity. Rather than assuming leadership without prior exposure to the department, he enters the substantive position with direct experience of its operations and expectations.
The coming period will therefore be an opportunity to translate that experience into measurable improvements in program implementation, quality assurance and institutional reporting.
For an institution whose reputation depends heavily on the quality of its training and the outcomes achieved by its learners, the effectiveness of the PQDM function is critical.
Gonet Academy’s appointment of a substantive Program Quality and Delivery Manager also signals the importance the institution places on institutional systems as it grows.
Quality assurance, monitoring and reporting are particularly important for professional development institutions because they provide mechanisms for assessing whether programs are achieving their intended objectives.
A stronger quality and delivery system can help the Academy identify what is working, where implementation gaps exist and what changes are necessary to improve the learner experience.
Nuahn’s mandate will therefore extend beyond managing day-to-day program activities. His role will be central to ensuring that quality becomes an embedded institutional practice rather than an end-of-program assessment.
As he assumes the substantive position, the expectations will consequently be high—to strengthen delivery standards, improve monitoring systems, support effective implementation and help ensure that Gonet Academy’s programs continue to meet the standards expected by learners and professional stakeholders.
