Gonet Africa Academy and Paynesville City Corporation Forge Strategic Partnership to Enhance Professional Development
GonetAfrica Academy is proud to announce the signing of a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Paynesville City Corporation (PCC), which aims to empower municipal staff through robust and tailored professional development programs.
The official signing ceremony took place on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the historic Paynesville City Hall and was witnessed by key leaders from both institutions. The MOU was signed by Mr. Mohammed Kerkulah, Founder and CEO of Gonet Africa Academy, and Hon. Robert S. Bestman II, Mayor of Paynesville City.

This strategic alliance represents a significant step toward creating a more effective, accountable, and future-ready city administration. It aligns with our common vision of enhancing institutional capacity, promoting innovation in service delivery, and investing in people as the foundation for sustainable development.
Key Objectives of the Partnership:
Capacity Building through Education: GonetAfrica Academy will offer customized Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions, along with Certificate and Diploma programs. These training programs are specifically designed to address existing skill gaps and meet the evolving needs of city governance.
Staff Development & Selection: PCC will play a crucial role in identifying eligible staff for participation, ensuring that the right individuals gain access to impactful training opportunities that can enhance their roles and responsibilities within the city’s governance structure.
Youth Empowerment & Community Engagement:
The collaboration also extends to youth-oriented initiatives, with both parties committing to implement programs that promote youth skills development, entrepreneurship, and community transformation across Paynesville.
A Milestone for Sustainable Urban Governance
This MOU establishes a foundation for a long-term, value-driven partnership that will directly enhance public service delivery, improve institutional performance, and foster inclusive development throughout the city.
During the ceremony, leaders from both GonetAfrica Academy and PCC highlighted the significance of education, innovation, and collaboration in shaping a responsive and citizen-centered local government. “At GonetAfrica Academy, we believe that transforming institutions begins with empowering people. Today’s MOU reaffirms our commitment to equipping Liberia’s public sector with the tools and knowledge needed to lead with excellence,” said Mr. Mohammed Kerkulah.

“This partnership is a win for the people of Paynesville. Together, we’re building a city that values professionalism, accountability, and continuous learning,” added Mayor Robert S. Bestman II.
